The "Kindergarten
Unit" , which is the first stage in PTJS,
has been formed taking into consideration the
importance of "Early Childhood
Education".
Pre-School/ Early
Childhood Education section of PTJS spans over three
years of Montessori-based pre-schooling namely
Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Kindergarten, before a
student is inducted for proper schooling in Class 1
at the age of 6. The objective of pre-schooling is
to normalize the fresh student from the home
environment to the school environment and groom
his/her basic skills and faculties to undertake
serious schooling from class 1. It has been the endeavor
of PTJS to conduct the pre-schooling of a child
keeping in mind his/her psychological needs and
social desire. The child is progressively groomed
and educated to a level by means of various audio
and visual aids, multimedia and renowned teaching
methods and equipment which not only inculcate the
reading and studying habits in the students but also
make learning fun for the child.
The focus of the Kindergarten Curriculum is on the
physical, psychological and intellectual development
of the child. While allowing the child to develop at
his/her own individual pace. Throughout the period
of education, PTJS aim at supporting the development
of the child, awakening his/her curiosity,
developing creativity and encouraging his/her active
participation both in learning and playing process.
